Presentation on “Tracing your County Sligo Roots” for Heritage Week 2008.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing a valuable service to our community, County Sligo Heritage and Genealogy Society  hosted an information session entitled ‘Tracing your County Sligo Roots’ as part of the National Heritage Week 2008 celebrations. The presentation aimed to provide advice and guidance to people wishing to research their County Sligo ancestral heritage.

The event took place in the Hawks Well theatre foyer area on the 28^th August. It was extensively advertised in the Heritage Week promotional publications, websites, local newspapers and publicity posters.

The Manager and Genealogy Centre staff dealt with many interesting questions from the floor following the presentation, which attracted over 30 enthusiastic participants.
