The Transition Year Group of  Summerhill College,  Sligo through their  TY co-ordinator,  Mr. Fintan Whelan expressed an interest in hosting the ‘Tracing your County Sligo Roots ‘ information  presentation. The session took  place in the college on the 3^rd of February 2009.

The audio visual presentation which was delivered by the Manager was modified in advance to focus more on the information technology aspects of Genealogical Research in an effort to make it more appealing to younger people.

About 35 students were present for the duration of the session, which was well received.
